his project will deliver vital natterjack toad habitat improvements at NWT Holme Dunes NNR on the North Norfolk Coast. Targeted measures will encourage natterjacks to maximise their use of this strategically important site. These include creating additional natterjack habitat with new pools being dug on site, turf stripping and removal of nutrient rich topsoil from the site to prevent excess vegetation growth and re-profiling of existing natterjack pools, to ensure that the pools remain sufficiently deep with profiled entry for the toads to utilise.
