Together Forever

When Cookstown war memorial was originally erected, the records of local war dead from WW1 were incomplete. To remedy this and ensure that all those from the Cookstown area who fell in that conflict are commemorated, the Friends of the Somme, Mid Ulster Group, propose to replace the two WW1 panels, which are in poor condition anyway, with new granite tablets with the 119 names from the original panels and an additional 78 new names identified through recent research.
