Toll Bar Cottage Community Meeting Rooms and Cafe, Broughton

The aim of the project is to preserve and conserve 17th century toll cottage and convert it into community meeting rooms and cafe. The cafe will be run as a community enterprise with all funds going into the up keep and maintenance of the building. The LCF funding will be focused on fitting out the community cafe and external hard and soft landscaping. The Toll bar cottage is on the route of the Preston Guild Wheel Recreational cycle route and facilities for bicycles will be installed as part of the project.

The structural refurbishment of the Cottage is being funded by Big Lottery Reaching Communities and Community Infrastructure levy.
