Tontine Gardens Restoration

A community - led restoration of the historic Geogian Tontine Gardens in Stourport's canal basins to provide an accessible public space which is valued and enjoyed by local people and visitors. Works will include:- Replacing terraced areas with slope shown in etchings of 1776 Improving access into and around gardens by new entrances, re-grading slopes and resurfacing 50m path Installing 2 seats Creating a planting scheme to reflect original Geogian garden Reinstating period-style ironwork railings Providing space for events The project is part of major £3.3 million restoration and regeneration of Stourport's canal basins.
