Tooting Gardens Improvements

This project will carry out improvement works in Tooting Gardens to make it more user-friendly and brighter.
In 2007, Groundwork consulted with users of the space in order to identify main issues. Groundwork will now work with the Friends of Tooting Gardens to carry out improvements to the space. Activities will respond to issues identified during the consultation, namely:

-Flowering shrubs to make gardens more colourful
-More benches and picnic tables
-Re-alignment of fencing to create a dog free picnic area
-‘No smoking’ signs by the playground
-Bins with special ashtrays
-Wildlife garden planted with local children
-Welcome/information Boards
