Tottington St John’s Cricket Club – Ground Improvements

unlike most cricket grounds which are flat and level, Crompton Meadows is certainly not. It has poor drainage and bad soil condition which means when it rains water collects around the uneven parts which causes these to flood and matches get called off and abandoned. In 2016, 40% of our home matches where either called off or abandoned part way through. The project is to improve the levelness of the ground, drainage and soil condition which will not only reduce the number of abandoned games but improve the quality and standard of the cricket being played.These improvements will also help the other sports being played at the facility
