Town Hall Lift

The project is to install a lift in Dursley Town Hall. This will give access to the elegant upper room for greater numbers of Dursley people. It will become a centre for community activities, including music recitals, playgroups, gatherings of older or physically-challenged citizens, historical society sessions and heritage-related functions. The Town Council will be able to return to their traditional home for their meetings. Increased footfall will generate rental income to defray the not inconsiderable costs of maintenance of this historic edifice. A glassed-in vestibule and disabled WC is included in the scheme.
