Townhill Mining Heritage Garden

• create a garden in the South Eastern Quadrant of Townhill Park bordered by Green Street and Main Street, paying tribute to the Miners of Townhill and celebrating our local coal mining heritage, for the enjoyment and benefit of the whole community; providing free access to all, including those with disabilities;
• encourage local people of all ages to understand the industrial and social history which has shaped our village, encouraging a sense of pride and community ;
• support the biodiversity of the area by planting native trees, shrubs and wildflowers
• to encourage local participation in this project, provide volunteering opportunities for the community thus promoting community spirit;
