Trailblazing

The Trailblazing project will provide young people with a unique opportunity to Volunteer and ride alongside the established Hamsterly Trailblazers group. The HamsterlyTrailblazers are a group of Mountain Bike enthusiasts who form a Volunteer charity with the aim of making Hamsterly Forest a Mountain bike centre of excellence. As a group we’re looking for ways in which we can offer local young people in the SW rural Durham area the opportunity’s to volunteer in positive activities which take place in their local green spaces, helping them make important connections with the natural world around them. As well as volunteer alongside the Hamsterly Trailblazers the young people will work with a qualified youth worker as the project and aim to identify young people at risk and are most in need of positive opportunities.
