Tredegarville CIW Primary School – Green Walls Project

Tredegarville CIW Primary School is located within an urban ‘high rise’ setting in Cardiff City centre so there is very little green-space access for the children. This will be a partnership project, developed between the school and Cardiff City Council, and it will help to address the city’s air quality issues, specifically non-compliance with EU standards. This project will provide ‘Green Walls’ within the school grounds and harness joint ambitions around green spaces/biodiversity. The project site adjoins the grounds of St James’ Church which, with its mature trees, will provide habitat connectivity (to the Green Walls) in this part of Cardiff, supporting a range of invertebrates whilst having a beneficial impact on local species including birds, bats and bees.
