Tree Screen on Chertsey Meads

Chertsey Meads is a popular open space between the banks of the rivers Thames and Bourne in Chertsey. It is 71 Hectares of mostly open meadow which is home to a number of important wild flowers, birds and invertebrates. The project would be to plant a new bank of native trees on part of the Meads which will both enhance the biodiversity of the site, by providing cover and nesting sites for birds and animals and block the view of an unsightly neighbouring development which detracts from the public’s enjoyment of the site.
