Tregroes Field Development Project

In order to accommodate increasing demand and to ensure a long term approach to the provision of field sports in Fishguard, Fishguard AFC in 1991 acquired a plot of agricultural land of 3.5 acres which it owns outright. The land is not flat and requires a significant amount of work in order that the land can be turned into playing fields. The club wishes to develop the field so as to provide playing pitches and facilities for the purposes of playing football, for seniors and juniors a football pitch, a cricket pitch and facilities for other community activities. Once the surface is levelled off then a suitable grass mixture of bents fescues and ryegrass will be sown. The pitch will then be appointed with goals resulting in the 2 new sports pitches being available for use.
