Trialing research soil forming growing media created from municipal solid waste

To encourage and assist the creation of a soil forming product suitable for use in agricultural restoration from MSW. Develop sustainable recycling initiatives for the common waste streams. Investigate the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil products and propose suitable uses in agricultural restoration. Carry out field experiments to test the potential of the proposed materials to support plant growth. Establish physical, chemical and microbiological parameters in the growing medium and effects of these on plant health.
