Trigger Pond Bucknell pond restoration

The pond is located at the southern entrance to the village and should be a welcoming spectacle. However, it is currently extremely overgrown and ‘uncared for’, to the point of not being visible. The Parish Council commissioned an ecology report to formally document an ecology plan for the care of the pond for the coming years ahead. The first stage of the restoration is to cut back the overgrown trees and large shrubs in and around the pond to clear the area and allow the vegetation and habitat more space and light. This will be the start of an enduring project, which will evolve over time, with the main aim of promoting wildlife and pondlife’ in a beautiful environment, for all to enjoy.
