Understanding the Costs and Barriers to the Introduction of Sustainable Waste Management Technologies

Research into the costs and barriers to the introduction of new technology in sustainable waste management, including detailed risk analyses. The research will include analyses of the components of new technologies, the end-markets for the technologies and risk probabilities as well as matching technologies with waste arisings and evaluating success and failure statistics.
The objective of the research is to overcome the barriers with funders, waste authorities and contractors and provide a better understanding and acceptance of existing, new and emerging technologies. Old scheme money has been found and will be used on this project.
