Understanding Wild Gloucester

The driving force for his project is that wildlife in urban areas is a significantly under-valued resource. Work undertaken in Gloucester suggests people are generally happy with their open spaces but there is an appetite for more interpretation/leaflets so they can appreciate the spaces better. We hope to do this in 3 ways. 1. Interpretation boards. 2 Leaflets/maps For large complex sites to aid navigation. 3. The Gloucester Botanic Garden,: this is a community driven project whereby the whole of the open spaces in Gloucester become part of a Botanic garden complete with plant labels and background information. Volunteers with a basic understanding of Ecology attach labels to plants in open spaces. The labels are printed plastic A5 displays that give the reader basic information with a QR code attached so more information can be gleaned
