Unique Floras of the World

The project shall transform the botanic garden temperate house into a new, exciting gallery focusing on the beautiful and unusal plants of South Africa, Australia, St Helena and the Canary Islands. The teak glass house shall be completely re-landscaped to showcase these four botanically rich floras. New interpretation will explore the ecology/evolution/survival strategies of the floras to illuminate what we mean by ‘biodiversity’. Access to the unique floras house and seating will be improved for all visitors.
