Projects / Upgrade of Kilmacormick Slipway

Upgrade of Kilmacormick Slipway

The proposed project involves for the upgrade of Kilmacormick Slipway. This is a pubic amenity slipway used by the local community to access the Lough for recreational purposes namely fishing and canoeing. The slipway was established some time ago and is utilised by the local community on a regular basis. The area has been identified as an area in the most deprived 10% of wards across Northern Ireland under the Noble Multiple Deprivation Measure. This project would involve some basic measures to upgrade the slipway so that a safe and accessible slipway can be established for the local community to utilise. The local Community Association are fully behind the project and had initially approached the Council in this regard.
