Upgrading of tennis court surface

Our original playing surface was laid down some 20 years ago and have been routinely contract cleaned and painted with a non-slip paint to make them safer in wet / damp conditions.

However, despite being well maintained over the passage of time, the surface which was only designed for a life of 15 years, has now become worn and slippery. Courts now need to be upgraded to a more modern, more user friendly surface which will appeal more to the young and old alike.

This would allow us to continue to offer the court facility to the junior school children adults as well as to adults (including the retired and unemployed ) and to be assured that none will not be put at risk of injury through a bad court surface.

We are convinced from the experience of other clubs that the new court surface will attract more participation by all sections of the community because the new surface will be ‘kinder’ to ankle and knee joints.
