Upperby Parish Hall Refurbishment Project

The hall is a single storey brick building with a cellar constructed around 1935. The windows and doors are timber and single glazed. The external appearance of the hall is run down with the windows being in poor condition. A building survey has been carried out by Carlisle City Council and has highlighted areas of improvement required to the building. The first phase of the project aims to create a disabled toilet and nappy changing facilities, replace windows with double glazing, install window guards to protect against vandalism, render the outside of the building in keeping with local houses and replace archaic heating and hot water system.
