Urban Eco Food Garden

The Urban Eco Food Garden project (UEFG) will see a neglected former garage site transformed into a social, environmental, educational, green and healthy space for the enjoyment and benefit of residents of Toxteth and Liverpool. The Urban Eco Food Garden will be an accessible, natural space open to local residents for relaxation and education, all day, every day.
The Urban Eco Food Garden will
•be a community designed garden which specialises in growing food.
•be a welcoming outdoor space, with regular activity, & events for neighbours to meet, share and be together.
•be an exemplary model of accessible environmentalism with key elements including food waste composting and rainwater harvesting on view.
•run free and accessible training in horticulture and food growing providing courses at all levels for all ages – including weekly drop-ins and focused courses.
•provide new volunteer pathways – offering at least 10 new local volunteers opportunities each year
