Urban Sensory & Community Engagement Garden at YMCA Ashington, Northumberland

The idea of the project is to create an urban sensory garden for young people and the community by using a derelict piece of land between two YMCA buildings and making it accessible for all to use. The project will involve young people at all stages of the creation of the urban space and will offer unique and new ways for young people to volunteer in a community project. This will lead to future opportunities for young people to volunteer and once the space has been completed, there will also be the opportunity to display art work created by young people and a live graffiti art wall for all year round use.
