Vauxhall Millennium Centre, Liverpool – Community Centre Improvement 2 (007523)

The centre has experienced neglect in recent years due to severe cuts to Local Authority budgets, meaning that the facilities have not been updated since it was built at the turn of the century; as a result, the facilities and services available no longer meet the needs of the community. This project will redevelop existing unused space in the community centre to deliver a much-needed flexible community space that can be used to meed emerging needs such as community group meetings, small community conferences, community consultations etc. The project will build upon previous improvements in 2020 to create a high profile community centre in the heart of an acutely disadvantaged community of Liverpool.
