Victoria Gardens, Leeds

The project aims to renovate Victoria Gardens, creating an enhanced public square within Leeds City Centre and translating the character of the historical Tiled Hall Café out into the public open space. Following consultation, the plan is to renovate and sand blast the substantial stone planters within the site; plant 26 large box headed trees (London Planes); lay high quality turf within the planters and provide uplighting beneath the trees. The degraded Yorkshire Stone surfacing will be renovated, and 8 steel/timber (oak) seats and 10 litter bins will be installed, together with an improved layout for the ground level chessboards, additional chessboards engraved on the stone planters and provision of other artistic features and site signage.
