Village Children's Play Area

Cookley Playing Fields and Village Hall Association (CPFVHA) has managed the premises on the outskirts of Kidderminster since 2009. The village hall and adjoining sports and social club was constructed in 2011. The site also offers users a weekend café, a terrace area with seating, community garden, woodland walk, cricket nets and green, a bowling green, two football pitches, a BMX track, a traditional park and adventure trail, and a large floodlit multi-use games area. The play area has a range of traditional steel play equipment and a wooden adventure trail, installed in 2005. However, over the years most sections of the wooden adventure trail have deteriorated and rotted, and RoSPA has now deemed the remaining structures unsafe. The applicant continues to maintain the existing steel play equipment on site to ensure there is some provision for children.
