Village hall refurbishment

Removal and replacement of asbestos roof; replace uneven floor; install new toilets.

The original corrugated asbestos roof has no insulation, leaks and is breaking down; the floor is lifting due to age and roof leaks; toilets are completely inadequate; and the plaster on the walls has fallen off due to damp. The hall also has structural issues that need to be addressed as the concrete shells are cracking and exposing metal supports.

Having a hall that is warm, dry and welcoming will benefit the existing users and increase each groups numbers. With a better insulated warmer hall we will be able to divert wasted heating costs into arranging more events covering the wider rural community.
