Projects / Village Hall Refurbishment (Phase 2)

Village Hall Refurbishment (Phase 2)

The project, to provide a versatile village hall, takes advantage of what is usable and is economically feasible to refurbish in the existing building and retains those parts. Other parts that are unsuitable or beyond salvage will be demolished and rebuilt in a more flexible configuration The resulting building will require very low levels of maintenance and is designed to save energy and reduce pollution. It will use recycled products in construction; external timbers that do not require painting; be fully insulated and double glazed and fitted with low energy lighting. Rainwater will be re-cycled to supply the toilets and zonal controls will be installed to maximise energy saving on the heating system.
