Vinesquare Play Area

The project aims to transofrm the current Vine Square play area on the Maystar estate in the North End ward in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

We plan to remove the existing playground and create a ‘natural play’ space which incorporates popular items of play equipment (e.g. swings, slides, climbing frame) within a landscape designed to maximise play value and laso improve the aesthetic of the are. This landscape will consist predominantly of natural features including grassland, contours and mounds, boulders, logs and carefully selected planting. This will create an exciting doorstop play space for younger children and their parents as well as an attractive, natural space which can be enjoyed by the whole community. The space will have fencing on all sides to ensure that parents feel it is safe for their children to play there.
