Visitor Facilities for Kinghorn Loch and Surrounding Parkland

Craigencalt Rural Community Trust has developed a ”Link Path Strategy” as a long term plan to improve pathways links with the Fife Coastal Path and other Core Paths going north, south, east and west through Craigencalt. It is a beautiful area with varied topography, habits and landscape including the relic volcanic hills such as The Binn and the considerable attractions of Kinghorn Loch. The completion of the CRCT projects on Rodanbraes and Binnend Paths and the linking of the Loch with Kinghorn by the completely refurbished Burnside Path, now allows people to get to the Loch with easy walking. Combined with the arrival of very obliging kingfishers, visitor numbers to the Loch have increased significantly. The intention of the current project is to increase the attractions at the Lochside parkland and on the water, and thereby to increase visitor numbers, make it an even more enjoyable experience. *See hard copy for rest of summary.
