Volunteer Biological Recording

The project is a two year programme of outdoor and indoor events in the Falkirk and Bo’ness. Led by naturalist experts and using volunteers the project will initiate a wildlife recording scheme.Introductory taster events will be followed by evening sessions to introduce people to the identifying and recording procedures. Lead partner will be Falkirk Bio-diversity Officer. Species targeted will be, Badger,Pipistrelle and Long-eared Bats, Water Vole, Otter, Common Frog, Common Toad, (Smooth,Palmate,and Great Crested )Newts, Common Blue Butterfly, Green Hairstreak Butterfly, Large Heath Butterfly,Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary, Grey Scalloped Bar Moth, Swordgrass Moth, Bullfinch, Green Woodpecker, Kingfisher, Swift, Yellowhammer, Bluebell, Field Scabious, Ox-Dye Daisy, Ragged Robin and Tufted Loosetrife.
