Walmesgate Independent Methodist Church and Sunday School Rooms Damp Prevention

The aim of the project is to alleviate damp and dry rot in the Grade II Methodist Church and Sunday school rooms. The Sunday school rooms are available to hire out by the community.

The dry rot is associated with historic building waste backfill against the rear of the church buildings raising the ground level. The works will involve excavating the backfill away from the rear of the church buildings to original ground level, installing a french drain and remedial works to dry rot inside the building.
