Warden Law Bridleway Network

The project will deliver locally identified priorities. It will overhaul accessibility on 1.2km of bridleway for pedestrians (including pushchairs/wheelchairs), cyclists and equestrians and will result in improved aquatic habitat linkage in Sunderland’s most truly rural area. The imperative for improved bridleways here arises from priorities identified in a recent MORI survey, a survey of the Tyne and Wear Local Access Forum, and a comprehensive access study for Tyne and Wear including the British Horse Society. The Great North Forest Trail and Stephenson Trail use part of the route, and it connects to the Walney to Wearside (Return C2C) cycle route.
