Waste Management Project for Schools in England & Wales

A study of waste handling in a selection of self-governing schools in England & Wales. It will include application of automatic innovative techniques to identify & classify waste. The objective is to optimise waste recovery to the direct benefit of schools and, ultimately, to implement waste minimisation activities in the schools. Staff, pupils and parents will be encouraged to participate. Aspects will be incorporated in the curriculum. Dissemination of methods, results and implications will be a major outcome.
