Water for Wildlife – Red River and Marazion Restoration Project: Phase 1

The Red River and Marazion Marsh Restoration Project aims to restore wetland and BAP habitats (rivers, open water, reedbed, wet woodland) to facilitate the recovery of a BAP species, the water vole.
Phase 1 involves:
Water vole research at the project site including desk study of historical water vole information from the site.
Habitat recording/ assessments at the project site including identification of threats and compilation of historical habitat information / records from the Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Preparation of nature conservation management plans for the restoration of the BAP habitats on the project site and the reintroduction of water voles in Phase 1 and 2
