Water Management for Biodiversity at Felmersham SSSI

The Felmersham site supports aquatic and wetland vegetation species that are of national and local importance. This one year project involves the development of a hydrological monitoring system so that future management actions can be implemented based on sound science and an understanding of the specific influences of water levels and water quality. The ultimate aim is to establish and maintain favourable conditions for aquatic/open water, marsh/tall fen and associated neutral grassland and the BAP species that they support.
