Water vole habitat extension and wood pasture creation

The works we are undertaking are the clearance and profiling to the banks of a stream leading into the Ten Penny brook to encourage the spread of the new population of water voles. This species is recognised in the Essex Biodiversity Action Plan as declining. WE are extending the wood pasture areas by increasing the fenced area to the top of the site to enable us to start grazing here
