Water voles project 2009

The main aims of the project are to continue a rolling programme of mink control which has already been running for several years with assistance from FET and other funders. The outputs of the project are to continue trapping and humanely dispatching American feral mink, an invasive alien species which is largely responsible for the catastrophic decline of the water vole in the UK. Mink control is a vital aspect of water vole conservation.
