Watershed RDA (Riding for the disabled) – Menage (Riding Arena)

The group offers riding to 30 disabled children and adults who enjoy therapy from horse riding. The parents and carers of the riders benefit from the respite offered and also the opportunity to mix with others in a similar position. Local schools such as Paternoster benefit as they include RDA in their curriculum. Over 50 volunteers contribute to the society by helping with the care of the riders and the ponies. There is a waiting list of riders. The group needs to replace the existing menage (riding arena) which has become unusable after many years of use. This essential facility will provide a fenced all-weather surface which offers a safe environment for the riders.
