This group purchases, preserves and restores the Wear Valley Railway.
The group is looking to provide facilities for passengers at the Wolsingham Station. These facilities will comprise a ticket office, a small retail and refreshment area, toilets and an area to shelter from the elements. The project is designed to refit and customise a Portacabin unit, already obtained and on site. The cabin will be completely reclad inside and out, and provided with a canopy in similar style to the existing canopy at Stanhope Station. At the moment there is no shelter or permanent building at Wolsingham.
The completed building will be designed for public use, providing a waiting area, ticket office, shop and refreshment facilities plus toilets.
