Weir Active, Harlow - Community Garden with Disabled Access (2792/D)

The project aim is to encourage interaction and volunteering and allow all sections of the community to come together and develop a stronger cooperative spirit, providing opportunities for training & learning and allow those attending our site to assist with the disabled user groups and gain valuable work experience. The large range of activities starting with gardening and fishing with further planned activities for example; sensory gardens, boat trips and canoeing for the disabled, will provide a base for local support and development, increase the need for additional volunteering and promote a healthier and more active community. The Trust grant will contribute to the community garden with disabled access.
