Welbeck Street Recreation Ground, Derbyshire – Playground Refurbishment 007483)

The project will aid the regeneration of the Welbeck Street recreation ground with the provision of new equipment to replace the current 30 year old equipment which is at the end of its useful life and therefore does not currently benefit the health, fitness and social aspects of the residents of Whitwell as much as they would expect from this large recreation ground. New equipment, including some inclusive equipment, would be provided for a new Toddler Play Area, Junior Play Area, a MUGA, areas with inclusive seating, benches, enhancement of the area with planting and a “Bark Park” being a fenced-off grassed area for dogs and walkers to exercise. The”Bark Park”, being the only area where dogs will be allowed.
