Welcome to Walkers at Doddington Hall

Doddington has an increased number of visitors. Visitors ask where they can go for a walk in the vicinity. The gardens are only open 55 afternoons a year, and there is an admission charge. The project is to create two new walks with year-round free access. The ‘Fish Pond Walk’ will take walkers on a circular stroll through Grassland to a fishpond, with wildlife and a 19th century changing house for swimmers and 1990’s oak boathouse. The original bridge across the lake will be replaced by a new one . The bridge will have the added benefit of enabling visitors to undertake a circular walk around the Fish Pond without disturbing the marshy, sensitive and rich nesting area at the far end of the Pond. The second ‘Avenue walk’ will take walkers through the historic stewardship parkland to the west of the Hall.
