Wellington Community All Weather Light Regeneration

Wellington Community Association developed a sand based astroturf in 1996 which has been used a pivotal facility for sport and recreation within Wellington and the surrounding villages since this point. In recent years, the lighting system has been failing regularly with lamps being old and irreplaceable. Thankfully, our community has stepped in on multiple occasions to create quick fixes to restore lighting and allow sport to take place. However, the system is at breaking point, with carbon emissions excessive, the system being inefficient from a cost perspective and making it’s use almost impossible. A recent inspection of the wider electrical system (due to rule changes) identified several faults that need rectifying with immediate attention.
This project will install new LED floodlighting with associated electrical upgrades.
