Wellington, Nr Hereford – New Community Hub Exterior Landscaping (40207/D)

The project aims to build a Community Hub in the centre of the village, providing a focal point for the community, saving the current shop and post office from certain closure and giving scope for development of other community based activities and services, helping to strengthen and empower the local community. The land has been leased from the local Chapel on a 99 year lease and the proposal is to construct a new single storey building which will provide space for the village shop alongside a Community Room which will house the volunteer led library, offer access to the internet, a community café etc. The land around the building will be landscaped and made into an area which is both environmentally friendly and welcoming for the local community. This will be carried out in partnership with the local Gardening Club and other community groups.

The Trust grant will contribute towards external landscaping, patio, paths and soft landscaping.
