Wepre Park Golf Course

This scheme was first registered on the 26th January 2006 but later withdrawn, it is now revived.
Following a report by golf course architects it is proposed to reinstate this 9 hole course to a playable condition for use by the public. The course has not hitherto been maintained and has fallen into disuse. The scheme envisages the reinstatement of the fairways, greens and tees to a playground standard. The scheme is supported by the Ryder Cup Legacy Fund. 90% of the work required involves grass cutting and treatment on a regular basis for a recommended period followed by regular maintenance. (An earlier failure by the applicant’s on the matter of future maintenance has now been overcome).
