West End Park, Cleckheaton – Path Extension (5986/D)

The small, roughly rectangular park has tarmac path on only 3 sides. The other side is grass which becomes muddily impassable in bad weather. Connecting these up along the fourth would enable a circular trail to be established, greatly improving use by the wheeled and less able. This would form the foundation of our plans to create a fitness trail, memorial walk and ‘art park’ within the space. We aim to cut and lay a tarmac path, bordered with timber, to match and join up with the existing pathways.

The Trust grant is a contribution towards the path extension.
