West of England B-Lines

To create a network of wildflower habitat – B-Lines – linking existing wildlife areas together across the West of England project area, from the west to the east, and from the north to the south, linking the Cotswolds with the Mendips, cities to the countryside, and the coast to the hills.

B-Lines is an imaginative and ambitious solution to the loss of wildflowers, bees and other wildlife in our countryside, proposing action at a landscape scale. The project will engage with and support landowners in creating new B-Lines, and plan the practical restoration of wildflower-rich areas.

There are enormous benefits for people too; B-Lines can improve surroundings and general well-being, they can be used for education, or simply for general enjoyment and beauty. B-Lines can bring communities together through their creation, management, use and enjoyment.
