West View Community Open Space

To create an attractive landscaped, accessible site that will include tree-lined pathways, copse and woodland planting, seating, a natural play area, a community growing area and a social space with grassed amphitheatre and pergola. Improvements include an open orchard area, possibly incorporated into a planted shelter belt designed to afford shelter and act as a windbreak on the site, a communal garden and seating area, that can be accessed and used by the residents of West View for socialising and relaxing, an open woodland/copse area, part of the shelter belt, that offers habitat for wildlife as well as a place for walking.

If successful Community Spaces funding would be used to fund some of the landscaping and planting works involved in the scheme, in the main however the funding would support the groundworks, earth works, path works and service works required to facilitate the rest of the project.
