West Warrington Methodist Partnership (Penketh Centre), Penketh Methodist Church, Warrington, Cheshire

This is a project to contribute to the construction of a new Church Centre in Penketh. The new Centre replaces a decaying, increasingly unsafe church building (now demolished), which was totally unusable by the local community other than for church services. This meant that the dated schoolroom (which will be sold) was the only facility usable – and used – by community groups. After research it was clear that a single, well-equipped, modern building would provide a dual-use facility for both faith and community activities.
