Wet Feet – Schools and Communities

The project is aimed at improving biodiversity for future generations on the River Camel, designated a Special Area of Conservation due, in part, to the European Atlantic Salmon (BAP Species). The project would work with school, college and community groups to raise awareness of protecting the river by running habitat restoration and education days on the River Camel. These days would include groups pulling invasive weeds to provent soil erosion and using the time to also talk about human impacts on the habitat of the Salmon. The project would pay for an officer to develop and run habitat restoration activities.
